I can't find any mention of a video or movie being made of "Comes Alive!" in my google searches. Furthermore, there are no credits or mention of a film crew on the original vinyl LP artwork.
In my opinion... Since Frampton's fame was a result of this album (and after the fact) it is doubtful they would have taken a film crew on tour in the first place. This would have been VERY expensive in the mid '70s. Remember too, the live camera feed and big screen videos we are so used to were not around yet.
I say Myth Busted... If the number one selling live album of all time had a video version, we would all have an old VHS copy we bought for $1.00 at a garage sale last summer! That's not to say A&M Records doesn't have one stashed away in a vault!!
.....Another listeners opinion, Marleydog

threshold for humanity
I actually was chatting with some ladies in the grocery store the other day when one dropped a dollar behind krogers self checkout. the younger one went to get and her big (sis/mom?) told her "it's just a dollar. i asked if she'd seen gas prices lately. she laughed. the younger girl proceeded to mention that she had gone to gas staion that morning but only had $2 to put in tank, she was hoping it'd be enough to get to & from work. some guy saw her stop pumping soon after she started, he happened to see her total, and w./o saying a word, he swiped his card and put $5 more dollars in. Now that's threshold baby! we are an awesome people!!!!!

You have a big dog. I work as Meter Reader for NES, ( I only read them not make the rates), :) :) We had a bite prevention class last week, and some of the sizes of the dogs these people brought in were insane. They brought in a Dogo?? These dogs usually get to be somewhere in the 200lbs range! I do not want to go in a backyard with any of those things. Just a bit of useless info!!!

Nooner and the beast
Mary,
8 years ago today at almost this very time of day, a friend of mine Pete had a motorcycle crash. It was very touch and go with him on the scene they lost him three times. He made a 98% recovery (he's a lil off in the head, but he was already that way) and now its sort of tradition to play the song he was listening to when he go a enema from a pick up truck so could you please play Fat bottom girls that would be great not only will it freak him out little but the rest of his friends will get kick out of it too, I know I will cause it my job to never let him forget.
Thanks
P.S. the Beast looks like a Akita and he's about 90 to a 100lbs

4 day work week / saving fuel
Mary, the only way a four day work week will reduce demand for fuel is if people will leave their cars parked on the fifth day. Unfortunately that is not very likely, give most of us an extra day a week off and there will be somewhere that we will just have to go. But at least Birmingham is making it possible for their employees to save fuel and money, whether they take advantage of the oportunity or not is up to them. I think more employers should at least offer their employees the option. I think that the only viable long term solution is the hydrogen fuel cell car. Bio fuels are not the answer, all that is going to do is drive up food costs, and ethanol is only slightly more than half as efficient as gasoline. A gallon of ethanol only produces 60% of the energy that a gallon of gasoline does. So if you get 10 MPG from a gallon of gasoline you would only get 6 MPG from a gallon of ethanol. Thats no bargain.

ERIC CLAPTON IS THE MAN
Dear Mary, I agree with MJ that Eric Clapton is the man. He has covered so many decades with his hard hitting and then his soft approach as he ages. My second choice would have been Mark Knopfler as well. I can't wait until he comes here. vote for ERIC!
Posted By: Pam - Friday, May 23rd 2008 @ 11:41am
Clapton is Still Guitar God
It really is a hard choice to make Mary. But I had to go with Eric Clapton. He was at the forefront of so many guitar forms and practically invented the blues/rock combo that a lot of these guys use. Mark Knopfler would have been my second choice but didn't get that option. Love the Nooner - don't change a thing!!

Guitar vote
Mary, I'm like you so many good ones to choose from. I had a hard decision between Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Eddie Van Halen, but went with Eddie Van Halen on my final vote. I think he was just born to play and he's someone I could listen to all day, being a guitar player myself. Just wished my fingers could glide across that guitar as easy as his does.

Sanju Bhagat was self-conscious his whole life because his belly was as big as a pregnant woman. The 36-year old Indian man was rushed to the hospital with abdominal problems one evening in 1999. Doctors thought he had a giant tumor that was pressing on his diaphragm causing shortness of breath. After several tests, including a CAT scan, did not confirm their initial diagnosis, they decided to operate immediately. What doctors found was horrifying - Bhagat appeared to be pregnant with a fetus that had been living in his belly for 36 years. (view avideo here - caution: this is very graphic)
What happened to Bhagat is a medical occurance called fetus in fetu and there are only 88 cases reported in the literature as of June 2000. This is the sort of thing you would expect to see in tabloid magazines and know that it really isn't true. But, it is. It is a rare malformation of twin pregnancy where the parasitic twin installs and grows in the body of its living host partner. Four of 88 reported cases have been described in patients 10 years of age or older, including one reported case in a 17-year-old male adolescent. Fetus infetu occurs relatively equally in male and female patients, and usually occurs in the early stages of pregnancy.
Fetus in fetu most likely represents a monozygotic diamniotic twin that implants itself and grows within the body of its normal karyotypically identical sibling, referred to as the host. The leach fetus can live like a parasite, by attaching an umbilical cord to the host's blood supply until it grows big enough that it begins to harm the host. It is common for both twins to die before birth because of the strain of sharing the placenta. But in Bhagat's case, he survived the birth and amazingly supported the life of the leached fetus for 36 years without anyone suspecting a problem. Everyone just thought he had a big stomach because he never suffered any pain.

Wierd
I just saw on tv the other night about this lady who was in her 70's (I think) who had a terrible stomach ache for years but lived in a forgien country and could not get good medical attention until just recently and inside her was a the remains of her baby that had turned to a hard stone like substance, when they removed it you could make out a little of the head and limbs, never seen or heard of anything like that before.

Responding to "Little Girl in Athens" posting
actually, i've heard about this! there was a guy that supposedly was "pregnant" but it was actually his twin that he absorbed while he was in this mother's womb. apparently it had been growing all of his life and they operated on him. like the little girl's, his had hair, teeth, limbs, etc. it was the most disgusting thing i've ever seen! very very strange....

Stimulus Pkg.
Mary, I just want to thank the Rock Nation for the stimulus package contest. I am hoping to win in the second round. My bf and I have been together almost 4 years now and he has already been laid off once about a month ago and now that he has a new job he is facing another layoff soon. The stimulus package would come in real handy right now. It would allow us to pay off some bills so he could afford to take a job with less pay. Wish me luck!

Class Act
Hey Proud Mary, It's melanie in gallatin(picture framer). I am needing a lift from your great selection of music. My son(Thomas) is graduating from high school this Friday night. Can you play something that will lift my spirits. He is my very best friend and it makes me sad to think he is leaving the nest. Thanks, you are an awesome class act in my book.

Dear anonymous, which is ridiculous to begin with....have enough guts to say your name if you are going to be critical. I hope you are still alive today....after what we put you through yesterday.
We have not changed anything....our music is consistantly great classic rock. Sure your dial didn't accidently get changed to country? Instead of threatening me, why not post a comment on what you would like for me to play for you and I will try and do that on the nooner.
I am here to please....proud mary :)

PIT BULL SCARE
PROUD MARY: LAST WEEK A STARY PIT BULL GOT IN MY NEIGHBOR'S SHED WHERE HER MAMA CAT HAD A LITTER OF KITTEENS. THE PIT BULL GOT 4 OF THE 5 AND KILLED THE MOTHER CAT, AS WELL. I'M FOSTR RASING THE ONE THAT SURVIVED THE SLAUGHTER, AND IT'S NOT EASY WITH A 2 WEEK OLD KITTEN.L. SOMETHING HAS BE DONE TO PUT SOME TEETH IN THE LEASH LAW. I LIVE OUTSIDE DAVIDSON COUNTY IN LEWIS COUNTY, BUT LEWIS COUNTY DOES HAVE A LEASH LAW, ALTHOUGH NEVER ENFORCED. UNLESS, WE, WHO CARE ABOUT PROPERLY CARING FOR OUR PETS, GO AFTER THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCMENT OFFICALS TO ENFORCE THE LAW, AND CITE THE IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS; THIS WILL KEEP HAPPENING, AS WELL AS STRAYS RUNNING LOOSE.
I have listened to you all day long for months now and the music that you have played today has to be the worst. Please go back to your regular format....I can't take it much longer. I am going to have to change the station.

To "ROCK DIVA MARY"
Hey there "ROCK DIVA MARY", I have followed listening to you at all the stations and the years you have been in Tennessee. My life wouldn't be complete without the good old Classic Rock that you play. When I was going through my Chemo trips and hospital trips for wound infection care 3 days a week for over 6 months----it was the good old Rock and Roll that kept me going. When I would want to be thrown in a trash heap or give up and quit: I turned the music real loud. It was a hard road to go through losing parts to Cancer, but I knew that I had to keep trying. It was always the kind, laughing Rock Diva Mary that was there. You always played my Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Stones all the good old classics. You kept me trying to get better each and every time I wanted to give in. You know how much you are loved by your listeners and how you make us all feel special. You earned a special place in my heart!! That why to me you are the one and only......."ROCK DIVA MARY" in the whole world of music DJ's!!! There is only one golden 1059 Rock Station The world is made a better place because you are in it....

We are about the same age, I think I got the down side of the hill. I felt your pain as your daughter went off to college. I have laughed, cried and felt apart of The Rock. You're a great friend to take a weekend night from the coach for a wedding. You remind me of Patty, that we lost on her way back from Florida. Mary, I so appreciate you making me feel not as old as I am!

Hi, Proud Mary...my baby and I got married just two weeks ago and he already left town today, off with the guys to Bun-aroo. Gas is too expensive for me to go meet him for our own nooner this weekend...not surprising that it's Friday the 13th, because my threshold of heartache has been reached and passed.
I have an awful bad feeling that we having gotten anywhere close to the big gas companies threhhold of greed and gluttany yet.
Hey Mary,
You have to have a high threshold of pain when you pull up to the gas pumps or you risk breaking down in tears while watching your savings going up in fumes. I know, I can see the ribs on my piggy bank.
A three-peat from her would be really good.
Especially some of her older stuff like

Have a Great Day.

Dear Mary, I agree with MJ that Eric Clapton is the man. He has covered so many decades with his hard hitting and then his soft approach as he ages. My second choice would have been Mark Knopfler as well. I can't wait until he comes here. vote for ERIC!
Thanks Proud Mary! Have a safe holiday weekend!
The long week-end will find me at home changin' plug wires, plugs, rotor, dist. cap, oil, filters, etc. to try & get better mileage, except for when I go to Jack's for some music & food & friends & a good time to be had by all. I'll go thru a few hollers & over a mountain, another holler & there it is... you can check it out @ www.jamminatHippieJacks.com . Everybody be careful, whatever you do. Take Care.
You Classic Rock my mid-day!
Thanks for all you do....Bring on that Stimulus package... STIMULATE US!
