The HOPE Awards - Honoring Our Local Heroes
Sunday, September 12th, 2010 (10:00 am)
Full Life Assembly of God will take time to honor some local heroes at a HOPE Award Service on Sunday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. Featured guests include members of the local Williamson County Sheriff department, the Franklin Police department and the Franklin Fire department. A member of each department will be selected by their peers and commanders to receive recognition during this event.
The HOPE Award is a special recognition of emergency personnel who have excelled in their job and in some unique way have given hope to their community. “We wanted to find a way to say thank you to those who give of themselves in our local emergency service departments,” says the church’s Lead Pastor, Nick Serban III.

Guests are welcome to attend this event. Come early for a good seat. Full Life Assembly of God is located directly across from the Franklin Post Office at 813 Oak Meadow Drive. It was formerly the Franklin Motor Sports Sales and Service Center. Click MORE INFO for additional details.

Visual Humorist Don Stewart at Williamson Co. Public Library
Monday, September 13th, 2010 (6:00 pm)
Visual humorist Don Stewart, owner of DS Art Studio Gallery in Birmingham, Ala., will sketch out his personal journey in art during the free educational program of the Arts Council of Williamson County (ACWC), “Art: Up Close & Personal,” Monday, September 13, 2010, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Williamson County Public Library.
For the past 25 years, Stewart has been “hammering words and pictures together” in his preferred medium—the ballpoint pen. This holdover from his academic past accounts for the crisp detail in his whimsical drawings. Stewart emphasizes, “Ballpoint lines bring out tones and textures unattainable with conventional pen and ink; the black and white renderings come alive with hidden images and visual puns.”
The Williamson County Public Library and O’More College of Design are co-sponsors for this series developed to educate students in the arts as well as those in the community who have an interest in the arts. The lecture series is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The main branch of the Williamson County Public Library is located at 1314 Columbia Avenue in Franklin. For more information about the event or the Arts Council, click MORE INFO or call (615) 428-3845.
